Here we are at the end of 2015 and I really want to thank everybody who has been a part of TG, whether you found us in 2009 or just last week. Matt and I had no idea that this would take off like it did and become such a part of so many people’s lives. I certainly did not think it would be the career change, or twist that it became for me. Today’s recap started with a few thanks to some of the folk who keep the wheels turning around here, followed by a few thoughts and stories.

I hope everybody has had a chance to check out the lessons from Max Rich. He has a lot of good info on a few topics that I’m sure you’ll find interesting. There are a bunch of great lessons over at his site, TotallyElectricGuitars.

I also want to specifically thank Vanessa for her series of lessons. There are over 100 now!

A few other things I brought up were our recent move into the world of DVDs, and a little IGC update. Our DVD plan was hatched due to requests from students that didn’t always want to be tied to the computer for lessons. We have started with a few select packages of related material, including a great blues set from Max.

I addressed a question from the Forum about the usefulness of practicing in performance mode, or videoing your progress. This led me to a couple very big suggestions for all students.

Unfortunately, there was a lot of no playing going on due to the finger injury healing very slowly. Instead you’ll have to settle for the 250 pound TV story. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon.

Happy New Year!

Neil
