A couple new Student Reviews, a White Stripes Electric Lesson, and some thoughts on Dropped D Tuning were the topics of the week. Max brought us a lesson on The Hardest Button To Button and I posted reviews to instrumental arrangements of My Back Pages by Dylan and If You Could Read My Mind by Gordon Lightfoot.

A couple students asked about songs in Dropped D Tuning this week and I realized that many people are a bit afraid of testing those waters. I spent most of this week’s Update talking about and playing a wide range of tunes in that tuning and want to encourage everybody to take the plunge sometime. Quick examples included Harvest Moon, Still You Turn Me On, Embryonic Journey and Cobble Creek (one of my pieces that I might get to a lesson on someday).
