John Renbourn
At the end of our workshop with John Renbourn on September 25, 1998, John and I played a couple tunes for the group. After we had tripped through Snap A Little Owl John suggested we play a little blues. He started into a riff derived from All Blues by Miles Davis and off we went.
This particular vamp had been a staple in the repertoire of the British musicians in the early days, starting with Alexis Korner and picked up by the likes of Davey Graham, Bert Jansch, and of course, John Renbourn. It even appeared on Pentangle’s live album Sweet Child as I’ve Got A Feeling.
