Jack van Breen from Guitar Showcase continues his discussion of Guild guitars in part 2. Jack starts with a D40 — the same guitar played by Richie Havens at Woodstock. Guilds are being made again in Rhode Island and probably have some of the same craftsmen from their most productive periods. Next, Jack plays a D55 dreadnaught, their top of the line guitar. Jack also plays a 1 of 50 Commemorative D55 to celebrate Guild’s 50th anniversary. This is a gorgeous guitar with a Brazilian Rosewood body.
