I have spent way too much time recently revisiting some old Neil Young recordings, particularly those on some of his Archives Volumes, which inspired me to get on something we have had many requests for over the years. The request was to make it easy to find lessons in Dropped D or Double Dropped D. My project became to put a bunch of those together in a pack but I had one more Stephen Stills tune to finish so that we had a good set of DADDAD tunes to go along with them. The result is a new Super Pack (30 songs) of Stills and Young tunes, along with a couple Crosby alternate tuning ones. The new Stills tune just released was Word Game from his second solo album, Stephen Stills 2.
Today’s News started with a short improv in Dropped D, then some short takes on things like Harvest Moon, Ohio, Don’t Let It Bring You Down, The Loner and Cinnamon Girl, before wrapping up with Embryonic Journey and Cobble Creek, a piece of mine that is about 25 years old.
I hope you enjoy the tunes and the rambling, and have some time to play the guitar this weekend.

What a great idea! Alternative tunings are still underutilized by a lot of informal/casual players like myself. But the sounds hold a certain power and beauty that I can listen too and play all day long. I will definitely explore this Neil Young selection! Thanks for doing this.
I don’t listen to many podcasts and such, but I really enjoy yours and actually look forward to watching. Besides your insights, I appreciate your playing. Keep them coming please!
Hey, thanks for the kind words! I enjoy doing these as well.
