Rick Turner of Renaissance Guitars further discusses the Buddy Holly Foundation.He shows us the 18 frets he removed during a refret in 1990 of the 1943 GibsonJ45 guitar (it’s second year of manufacture). One fret will be used in the label inside each guitar. David Neely, now on the board of the Buddy Holly Foundation, took pictures of Rick removing the frets to establish the provenance of the frets.
