Once a month Doug Young hosts a concert at The Woodshed in Los Gatos, California. The format generally includes three players who rotate songs. Today we start a series of pieces recorded in October 2013 starting with Doug’s performance of his song Gretchen.
Doug has hosted a monthly showcase for the past 8 years in the San Jose area. Shows are currently being held at The Woodshed in Los Gatos. Each month, Doug is joined by two guest guitarists. Over 60 guitarists have played the event, representing a wide range of styles from blues to classical to fingerstyle.
Performers range from local amateur guitarists to touring professionals, and even Grammy-award winners (Bill Coulter and Mark Hanson). Other past guests include Thomas Leeb, Jacques Stotzem, Peter Janson, Larry Pattis, Teja Gerken, Steve Baughman, and Neil Hogan.
