A student recently wanted to learn Do You Know The Way To San Jose, which brought the song back into my orbit and…what a great piece of music by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. We now have a lesson on it that looks at three different ways of accompanying a vocalist, ranging from a ‘Campfire Version’ to a percussive fingerstyle version. A solo guitar arrangement may not be far behind.

Some topics covered today included some chord conjugation of ‘A’ family shapes (5th string root), thoughts about my favorite Fleetwood Mac albums (along with a mention of our latest pack of their tunes), our upcoming TG Live – a webinar going into Learning To Read Music, and a stab at a solo version of one of the greatest songs ever written (according to Billy Joel and countless others).
