One of the events tied into our 2013 International Guitar Camp was a concert featuring Al Stewart and Dave Nachmanoff. I opened the show with a short set. I really did not have much of a plan as far as a set list was concerned and without really thinking, jokingly asked for requests, figuring that most of the audience didn’t know much about me.
The first request was for Babe I’m Gonna Leave You, which I played a few measures of. The next was for Classical Gas and I figured I’d do the same. About four measures into it I realized it would be sacrilegious to cut it short and decided to let continue. It was a bit too fast but turned out to be a good way to start the show.
