This week we opened our song library to Poco, a band I have followed since I picked up their album ‘A Good Feelin’ To Know.’ One of my students had been assigned to figure out the chords to Keep On Tryin’, a Timothy B. Schmidt song from the album ‘Head Over Heels.’
I just messed around with some progressions, one in C and another A. I had gotten into a bit of a ragtime mood when Alice’s Restaurant appeared.

I talked about some recent songs that my students have been working on and was happy to see that Vanessa did a lesson long ago on Marry Me by Train. Definitely worth checking out or revisiting.

Next there were a few thoughts on metronomes, partly because we have a lesson coming soon from Doug on just that, hopefully next week. And speaking of next week… a few surprises on the way.
