This week a friend of mine asked for a short lesson on a song I was not familiar with and I figured I might give enough info, squeezed into the Weekly Update, to help them play the song. It even turned into a bit of a ‘Name That Tune’ game for a few minutes. I am curious to hear who might recognize it. A couple other pieces popped up, including The Ivory Salamander and even some Dark Side Of The Moon.
There was a very interesting post-story to our hummingbird saga, which I went into before recapping the latest lessons. I hope somebody out there might be able to shed some light on the puzzle (Lynn?).
The new stuff this week included Bob McAlpine’s solo arrangement of With Or Without You by U2, Vanessa’s take on Chicago by Graham Nash, and a strumming approach to Unforgettable as done by Nat King Cole.
Next week we expect to see another Carpenters classic, one from Bruce Springsteen, and a tragic song made famous by John Denver.
Have a safe Spring Break…
