Continuing my John Prine kick from last week – this week we added a lesson on a bunch of intros to his songs, which was then added to our John Prine Package, along with a Fly On The Wall lesson. I played some bits of a couple of his songs, which led into some examples of some songs that use mostly chords I, IV & V in the key.

I played examples of a bunch of songs that are worth studying to improve ear training, particularly with respect to three chord progressions. Songs touched on included Brown Eyed Girl, Tech Your Children, Margaritaville, Paradise, Dark Hollow and Folsom Prison Blues. Some of these included secondary dominant chords.
