After a few computer issues I was able to finish the promised lesson on my solo arrangement of Long, Long Time. I also spent more time than usual this week playing and practicing. I felt like I had some big progress on my 20-year project on Bethena, by Scott Joplin. I played through a couple sections that I generally don’t get to when shooting the TG News. There was also a rusty run through of an old piece of mine called A Little Jolt. I am not sure how that crept into today’s update but I hope you enjoy it. I do have to go back and review a short part that eluded me today. I also had a bit of a revelation on how to finally get started on another instrumental arrangement that has been something of an albatross around my neck. Check out my thoughts on a classic by an early 1970s San Francisco band.
