The response to last week’s instrumentals I ran through was so positive that I figured it was time to get to my list of heavily recommended instrumentals. Of course, we added a couple new lessons- Baby I’m-A Want You by Bread and John Renbourn’s Lord Franklin, also from Pentangle’s Cruel Sister album.

I started with some easy instrumentals, playing bits of Shades Of Funk, Grandfather’s Clock and Freight Train, then into a bit more intermediate ones like Fishing Blues, Here Comes The Sun, Bermuda Triangle Exit and Windy & Warm. I just scratched the surface with advanced ones, paying particular attention to playing them slower that originally recorded. The Fisherman, Embryonic Journey and The Last Steam Engine Train popped out as examples of those.

Next week I might dig deeper into some of the most challenging pieces we have at TG, depending on the what I hear from the Community, and how ready I am for our International Guitar Camp coming up the following week.
