Like you I build guitars, however finishing has always been a problem, although I am proficient at spraying, the window when conditions are right are very limited, I live in New England and when the humidity is low enough to spray the temp. is to cold (I spray in my cellar venting to the outside) when the temp is right the humidity hovers around 70%. I can’t afford a spray booth so my question to you is do you take on commissions to spray, and at what price?
I have used waterbase lacquer with great success however some woods are just too porous for the water base (Example: Peruvian walnut)
Please let me know
