It is probably best known through Anne Murray's recording and even became one of her signature songs.
\n
This lesson teaches a 'simple' fingerstyle arrangement in the key of A, G (Capo II) and C. The latter is the key in which Elvis Presley recorded it.
\n
We take a look at the progression and the chords for each key. Then we break down the Travis style picking, and go through the arrangement with its little embellishments and ascending/descending bass lines.
\n
The song is quite uptempo and surely challenging if you're not comfortable fingerpicking in general. If you are, then it is a lovely song to play. Of course, one could also decide to strum it instead.
\n
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BG-deTZcwYc
\n
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aw3YaB3jcxk
\n

\n

","packages":[],"packageFrontendUrls":[]},"html":""}},"pageContext":{"id":"f3da706f-7d17-5f6f-b324-44cf12b3fe19","lessonsUrl":"/lessons"}},"staticQueryHashes":["4233709985"]}
