Lesson notes

I'm On Fire is a song written by Bruce Springsteen in 1977, who had envisioned it as a song which could be recorded by his idol Elvis Presley. It initially became a huge hit for the Pointer Sisters who released it as a single in 1978.

The lesson is based on an acoustic live performance and shows how Bruce’s guitar player plays the main and signature bass line.

It covers how to play it in the key of G, as Bruce does, and also the key of C. The latter might fit better for female vocalists who would like to cover the Pointer Sisters version.
