Snowbird is a song written by Canadian singer-songwriter Gene MacLellan. It is probably best known through Anne Murray's recording and even became one of her signature songs.
This lesson teaches a 'simple' fingerstyle arrangement in the key of A, G (Capo II) and C. The latter is the key in which Elvis Presley recorded it.
We take a look at the progression and the chords for each key. Then we break down the Travis style picking, and go through the arrangement with its little embellishments and ascending/descending bass lines.
The song is quite uptempo and surely challenging if you're not comfortable fingerpicking in general. If you are, then it is a lovely song to play. Of course, one could also decide to strum it instead.
