To Know Him Is To Love Him is a classic 1958 song written by Phil Spector and first recorded by his vocal group, The Teddy Bears. 

It has been widely covered, and this lesson teaches the version by the country vocal group 'Trio', consisting of Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris and Linda Rondstadt, released in 1987. 

The arrangement is done in the key of C (Capo I) and jumps up a whole step to D for the final verse. 

We take a look at the chords, the progression, the fingerpicking and/or strumming in 6/8 (or 12/8 if you will).

The main challenge is probably the bridge, since it has a few sudden twists and turns, which includes several barre chords, such as Eb, Bb, Ab, Fm, and Cm. 

All in all, this is a lovely song to play, but not necessarily easy for beginners.
