I Feel Like I'm Fixing To Die Ragby Country Joe & The Fish

I Feel Like I’m Fixin’ to Die Rag is a song by the American psychedelic band Country Joe and the Fish, written by Country Joe McDonald, who passed away in March 2026 at the age of 84. 

The most notable version is the one when McDonald performed it solo at the famous Woodstock concert in 1969, which he introduced with the ‘F - Cheer’. It was included on the Woodstock film with sing-a-long lyrical subtitles.

The progression features basic open chords (Capo II), while the strumming is easy, straightforward, yet quite uptempo (more so than other versions). This might be challenging for some, since there are also a few fast chord changes.
