In Dreams is a song composed and recorded by singer Roy Orbison, certainly showcasing his amazing vocal range. It became the title track of the album with the same name in 1963.
The arrangement isn't necessarily hard, though it has a unique through-composed structure, meaning no part is the same.
It is done in the key of C, using the I, IV, V7, ii and Vi, including a couple of chords changing from minor to major.
The strumming could be done at either the speed of 8th's (James Burton) or 16th's (Roy Orbison, Elvis Costello), or a combination of both. We take a look at those too.
