Lesson notes

Al Stewart's 1978 album included  The Palace Of Versailles, a very regal sounding look at French history. The music was based on The Earle Of Salisbury, a pavan by William Byrd and a nice guitar solo as arranged by John Renbourn.

This lesson goes over Al's chord progression, including a short chord solo of the intro, incorporating the main theme into the strumming, a basic way of strumming through the progression, as well as a way to work in the chord voicings and inversions that the bass line lays out.

This lesson also includes the audio recording from a concert at Villa Montalvo in 2005 featuring Neil sharing the stage with Al.
