Only Timeby Enya

Only Time is a song by Irish musician, singer-songwriter Enya, who wrote the music and recorded all the voices and instruments.

It was released in 2000 as the lead single from her 5th studio album 'A Day Without Rain' and became a no. 1 hit-single in several countries. It gained renewed popularity after the 9/11 attacks, turning into an anthem for the victims.

It re-entered the charts again in 2013 following The Epic Split advertisement, launched for the Volvo Trucks Volvo FM range, which featured the song and Jean-Claude Van Damme.

The lesson obviously teaches a stripped down acoustic version.

The arrangement is done with chord shapes in the key of D (Capo I), in Dropped D tuning (6th string tuned down to D). It features fingerpicking with a steady flow of 8th notes all the way through. (4/4)

The bridge might be a little challenging to some since both the time and key signatures change to respectively 3/4 and the key of F.  The song ends with another verse in again 4/4 and in the key of D.
