It's My Partyby Lesley Gore

It's My Party is a song by American singer-songwriter Lesley Gore, and appears on her debut studio album 'I'll Cry If I Want To' (1963). It was released as the lead single and at only 16 years old it became her first hit song topping the charts in many countries. 

The lesson teaches how to play it in the original key of A, and the key of E (Capo IV). The reason for the addition of the latter is that Lesley often performs the song a half step down. Another way would be to tune all six strings down.

We go through the many chords in both keys, and break down the progression which has several twists and turns. Of course we take a look at the strumming, including a few ways to dress it up a bit.
