Lesson notes

This is the final part of a five-part series on the blues shuffle groove. Make sure to check out Parts 1-4 for key background material. In this lesson we’re going to break the left and right hand patterns out of harmonic lock-step and combine elements from all of the previous shuffle patterns to create a varied groove. At the end of the form we’ll learn an advanced turnaround and ending that both feature a right-hand blues scale lick as the main hook.
