Bossa Nova Rhythm No. 6by Jazz Grooves

In the final lesson of this first Bossa Nova Comping series, we’ll be turning our attention to some 1-bar rhythmic patterns. If you haven’t checked out the earlier Bossa Nova Groove lessons, you may want to give those a look to get some background for this lesson. In the past few lessons we’ve looked at several different two-bar patterns, so we already have a lot of material to work with. We’re going to poach some of the rhythms for the previous lessons, and also integrate some new patterns. At the end of the lesson, we’ll mix and match the rhythms we’ve learned over the first 8 bars of the Blue Bossa chord changes.
