Lesson notes

Desperado by the Eagles is one of the most popular Rock Ballads of the 70’s. In this lesson, you’ll learn to play this song using the chords from the 1976 recording on the Eagles Live album. The song is in the key of G and is in 4/4 time. There are 8 different triads in the song, each with a variety of 4th notes and/or bass notes. In addition to learning these chords, we will discuss how to move from chord to chord using nearest inversions that makes the song sound better and also makes it easier to play. You’ll also learn about the rock ballad rhythm used in this song as well as learning how to play the signature Intro and Outro of this classic song.
