Blackbird is a Beatles song from the double disc album Beatles, also known as the White Album. Blackbird was written by Paul McCartney but is credited to both Lennon and McCartney. Blackbird was inspired by JS Bach's Bourree in E minor. McCartney adopted a segment of it and re-harmonized the original minor key to the key of G major which is its relative major. Fred McCarty sings the song and stylizes it. It is a very fun arrangement to learn. This song is in a great range for most male singers and an absolute must to learn for any male acoustic guitar player. Most of the range is in chest voice but does move up to head voice at times.
