You Give Love A Bad Name is a huge Bon Jovi classic, first released on his 1986 album "Slippery When Wet" where it reached number one on the billboard charts. This song starts with its iconic guitar lick and then goes into a single string palm muted riff that really is a perfect example of 80's metal guitar playing. It incorporates a lot of arpeggios, drawn out power chords, and hammer ons that climb up a scale on a single string scale pattern. There's also some very long and rhythmic trills that help round out the phrasings of the solo that are really fun to practice, so lets get started!
