Lesson notes

Marmalade was a Scottish band who had been around for a while before breaking through with Reflections Of My Life in late 1969. It was written by guitarist Junior Campbell and vocalist Dean Ford and features a single 8-bar progression for both the verse and chorus.

The song is really just a basic strumming pattern over the changes using the 6 primary chords in the key of G. This lesson goes over that briefly but is mostly focused on an instrumental version, incorporating the melody into an arpeggio accompaniment. The student should try to vary what is written in the tablature and feel free to make it their own.
