Marmalade was a Scottish band who had been around for a while before breaking through with Reflections Of My Life in late 1969. It was written by guitarist Junior Campbell and vocalist Dean Ford and features a single 8-bar progression for both the verse and chorus.
The song is really just a basic strumming pattern over the changes using the 6 primary chords in the key of G.
