We started the week with a short waltz, The Moloka&#8217;i<br \/>\nWaltz. this is a great place for the budding Slack Key player to<br \/>\nstart. A good continuation piece was released as well called Kimo&#8217;s<br \/>\nSlack Key. Both of these are in Open G Tuning, also known as Taro<br \/>\nPatch Tuning. Along the same lines we sat in on Sandy&#8217;s lesson on<br \/>\nMoloka&#8217;i Waltz, her first look at something in an altered tuning.<\/p>\n<p>Another Fly On The Wall video was done with a student new to the FOW<br \/>\nprogram, Pete. He was working on a couple of Damien Rice tunes and<br \/>\nthis week we started Volcano. If you are working on that be sure to<br \/>\ntake a look at Pete&#8217;s lesson.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the week we went north of the border for one of my<br \/>\nfavorite bands, The Guess Who. This was a Canadian band led by<br \/>\nguitarist Randy Bachman and vocalist (and multi-instrumentalist)<br \/>\nBurton Cummings. this week&#8217;s entry was their first big hit, These<br \/>\nEyes. The lesson transcribe the keyboard opening into a nice little<br \/>\njazzy guitar intro.
