You might recognize Ain&#8217;t She Sweet, Five Foot Two and Sweet Georgia Brown, if you are of a certain age. There was also a bit of a more recent tune I would call a standard of our generation at the top. <a href=\"https:\/\/totallyguitars.com\/lessons\/1563-cowgirl-in-the-sand-guitar-lesson\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cowgirl In The Sand<\/a> inspired me to talk a bit about hitting rest strokes with the pick for additional emphasis and volume.<\/p>\n<p>A new lesson and a new pack (mega-pack really) were the additions to the TG Library. The lesson was <a href=\"https:\/\/totallyguitars.com\/lessons\/3021-dedicated-to-the-one-i-love\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dedicated To The One I Love<\/a> by The Mamas &#038; Papas. The new mega-pack is a set of 25 songs by <a href=\"https:\/\/totallyguitars.com\/packages\/18-crosby-stills-nash-young-mega-pack\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Crosby, Stills, Nash &#038; Young<\/a>, with heavy emphasis on their 1969-1971 albums: Crosby, Stills &#038; Nash, Deja Vu, and Four Way Street.<\/p>\n<p>Other than that- heading off to our International Guitar Camp next week so I might be taking next Friday off.<\/p>\n<p>See you in a couple&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Neil<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>September 5, 2025 A little look back on some very old standards that I used to play.
