It had to do with good practice techniques and how easy it is to forget them at times.<\/p>\n<p>I finally got to spend a little time yesterday looking at Muriel Anderson\u2019s arrangement of Close To You, starting with our video from a few weeks back but leading me to track down a full performance of her running through it. We even have a couple of those over on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.totallyguitars.com\/acousticsnapshots\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Acoustic Snapshot blog<\/a>. Check these out when you can as they gave me some good ideas about stretching it out a bit.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.totallyguitars.com\/acousticsnapshots\/muriel-anderson\/muriel-anderson-plays-close-to-you-at-club-fox\/<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.totallyguitars.com\/acousticsnapshots\/muriel-anderson\/muriel-anderson-close-to-you\/<\/p>\n<p>Next on the agenda were some comments on the weather and a mention of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guitarleague.com\/phoenix-az.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Phoenix Guitar League<\/a> where Doug Young will be leading the meeting on February 12. Then there was a little talk about pickups and that I am looking forward to getting my Santa Cruz guitar back early next week.<\/p>\n<p>As I started talking about this week\u2019s new releases I got sidetracked playing a little of Faro\u2019s Rag by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.totallyguitars.com\/target-songs\/john-renbourn.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">John Renbourn<\/a>. This was inspired by mentioning the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.totallyguitars.com\/forum\/141-new-student-video-reviews\/146090-ggtarget-members-only-student-video-review-by-neil-john-renbourn-judy-by-kelemenj.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Student Review of John Kelemen\u2019s Judy<\/a>. We also resurrected the Fly On The Wall lessons with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.totallyguitars.com\/target-songs\/494-fly-on-the-wall\/28210-crying-in-the-rain-with-sandy.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sandy working on Crying In The Rain by The Everly Brothers<\/a>. The week was completed with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.totallyguitars.com\/target-songs\/405-pearl-jam\/28208-jeremy-by-pearl-jam-guitar-lesson.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jeremy by Pearl Jam<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.totallyguitars.com\/target-songs\/746-norah-jones\/28207-don-t-know-why-by-norah-jones-guitar-lesson.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Don\u2019t Know Why by Norah Jones<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.totallyguitars.com\/target-songs\/815-barbra-streisand\/28211-guilty-by-barbra-streisand-with-barry-gibb-guitar-lesson.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Guilty by Barbra Streisand<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Another happening this week was a comment from a Target member that was looking for something in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.totallyguitars.com\/target-songs\/1\/4646-homeward-bound-guitar-lesson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Homeward Bound lesson<\/a> that I did not address. I would love it if anytime somebody felt that more could be added to a lesson they bring it up on the Forum. I have added new parts to old lessons many times over the years, like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.totallyguitars.com\/target-songs\/1\/2048-wild-horses-guitar-lesson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wild Horses,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.totallyguitars.com\/target-songs\/1\/2017-rhiannon-guitar-lesson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rhiannon<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.totallyguitars.com\/target-songs\/1\/2031-wish-you-were-here-guitar-lesson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wish You Were Here<\/a> to name a few.<\/p>\n<p>Towards the end I got to the \u2018a-ha\u2019 moment that I hinted at in the beginning which I hope will be something everybody remembers when they are having trouble with a difficult section, or making a big position change\u2026 duh!<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully next week will bring more insight, at least here at TG Central.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week I had one of those slap me in the head, wake up idiot moments, which I get to near the end of today\u2019s update.
